This may seem like a dumb question but can I fill and crumb coat my cake if the layers are frozen?
I forgot to take them out of the freezer last night and I need to fill and at least crumb coat tonight, is it ok? I do it at work (work in a grocery store bakery) but I baked from scratch and do not know if there would be any adverse effects.
I've done it semi frozen without getting any problems. But I would suggest you defrost it first.
