Hello all,
I am looking for a tiramisu cake recipe. I usually use mixes and doctor them up, but not sure if adding the coffee, chocolate and cheese will really work.

Any advice greatly appreciated, TIA

Here is the link to a thread of recipes from the gourmet flavors thread. They are alphabetical so scroll down to tiramisu. It uses the orginal wasc recipe at the top of the page and changes it to use coffee creamer and water in place of the liquid and flavorings, plus an espresso syrup to brush on the cake, and then a marscapone filling. It is really good!

Also...here is the original thread. It is one of the best here on CC!

Hope this helps,

***edited to add. just looked and realized it is not all written there but when I asked macs mom and made the tiramisu I also used the keoke coffee extract from Lorann in place of the butter flavor and a box of cheesecake flavored sugar free pudding mix. For the espresso syrup, I used instant espresso in place of the instant coffee and put a "smear" (thin layer) of the kahlua white chocolate truffle filling then put the marscapone filling on top of that.(as suggested by macs mom) I didnt have Kahlua so I used the coffee extract from Lorann in that recipe.

also try searching allrecipes dot com, they have some great recipes with user reviews which are sometimes invaluable.
