You can use a clean pillowcase... That's what they told us in culinary school years ago.
If the icing's crusted over enough you can also use regular printer paper and a fondant smoother to smooth the icing out. That works really well.

parchment paper, interfacing (lining for fabric)..i think that's what it's called.;0)
