Hi,
I used an actual cup and saucer as my mold.
For the saucer I rolled out the gp/mmf, cut it to size and placed it on the turned over saucer, pressed gently to form the indentation and let dry for about 24 hrs.
For the cup I basically did the same thing except I placed the gp inside the cup (because of the handle). I then made a separate handle and attached it once the cup was dry.
Just be sure to dust your cup and saucer with some PS or cornstarch first so that the gp doesn't stick to it.
Once dry, I painted them with gel color mixed w/vodka.

Thanks to everyone who gave me suggestions. They were extremely helpful. The cake was a huge success. When and if I ever get my computer to download a picture, I'll show it!!
