Can anyone point me in the right direction. I am trying to make a graduation cap with tassel. My first tassel, broke apart when I hung it. I used MMF and gumpaste mixture. I need the cake for tomorrow morning. I have made some gumpaste only in my colors. Will this work?

Any suggestions, greatly appreciated.

Vicki

I use a garlic press. I know sounds silly but remember playing with playdo machines and you squish it through the grate and it would come out looking like spaghetti or hair, same concept.

I have to make one, too. I was planning on using straight fondant in my clay extruder. Hope it works.

Thank you for the replies. I ended up using Wilton Fondant. It was the only thing that would hang without breaking. I just cut strips with a pizza cutter and hung together in a clump.

Cake is in my pics.

If it does not have to be edible.....needlepoint thread works, or that real thin yarn
