I am making a 3 tier wedding cake and with one seperation between the top two cakes, 9" and 6" cake. I want to fill the seperation which will be 3" high, between the cakes with gumpaste flowers on wires. I HAVE to use a disposable set of pillars and was going to put a 3" cake in the middle to attatch the flowers with wires to. But I'm starting to question that because the pillars will be in the way. Hope this makes sense. Any ideas what I should do? Thanks in advance for any advice you can give![/u]

Why do you have to use the pillars? I just did a separater with gumpaste flowers, and I covered a piece of styrofoam with fondant and stuck the flower wires into it. The styrofoam supported the top layer. It's in my pics - white cake with blue hydrangeas.
