I was contacted to make this cake for a bride. I can get the general idea from the picture but can't really make out the detailing on the sides. Does anyone have a better picture or can you tell me what Wilton Wedding book it came out of?

TIA
LL

The directions for the sides: Using 3 1/2" round cutter, imprint sides with approximately half of cutter to make garlands and scallops on sides. Cover marks with tip 16 e-motion. Pipe tip 3 dots inside garlands, scallops and top of 15". Edge plage atop 12" with tip 16 scallops. Edge 12" base with tip 20 shell border. Pipe tip 17 shello borders on cake tops. Hope this helps.

What's the difference between scallops and shells?

DreaminCake....perhaps their difference is that 'garlands' curve downward on the side of a cake, while 'scallops' curve upward. ???

Oh yeah. Thanks for clearing that up. Now I see... Garlands down, Scallops up, both are being done with a tip 16 e-motion. The "ah-ha" moment. lol
