This is the cake I was asked to make for a wedding in June. Except their colors are gold with champagne and brown. So, instead of the crystal brooches and monogram, I need to make something gold out of gumpaste. I don't want to use dragees because the bottom border is going to be a pearl bead border. They are having pink gerberas on the table but don't want that on the cake. I thought about adding a pink jewel(s) on each gold ring, but I'm just not sure. They are looking for elegant and formal. I am also doing a fondant ribbon so that the whole cake will be edible.

Thanks for any and all help!

What will the pink jewels be made of to keep it edible? I wonder if you could crush pink lollipops or hand candy and use some good chunks out of that. Your idea sounds perfect. The original cake is beautiful.
