I only have one 8 inch pan so I can only bake one 8 inch layer at at time. Should I refrigerate the rest of the batter till the first layer comes out of the oven? Thanks!

If its not hot (weather wise) and the cake in your oven will only be about 30 or so minutes - it would be fine - however if you do place the batter in the fridge just remember to let it come back to room temperature before popping it in the oven.
Oh and cover it with glad wrap/ cling film -

If i am baking alot of cakes at once and the turn around time is only 30 or so minutes - then i just place a clean tea towell over the batter and let it sit on th bench - not when its 110F tho - icon_smile.gif Then just give it a good stir before pouring into the pan.

Thanks you so much. At least now I know that I won't kill anybody by leaving it out for that long. Altho it is kind of warm here, 75 degrees. So will stick in the fridge just to be safe. Thanks again!
