I am planning to make the puppy cupcakes pictured here

for my son's 3rd birthday and I can't figure out what kind of cookies the ears are made out of. Any ideas? They remind me of a cookie my grandmother used to use to make icebox cake, but nothing in my grocery store resembles it. I would really appreciate any suggestions of a flat wafer-type chocolate cookie that's bigger than an oreo. I would prefer to buy a packaged cookie rather than make it. Thanks!

Nabisco makes a cookie that is exactly as you are describing...

It's called the Nabisco Famous Cookie...

Thank you!! The "Nabisco Famous Chocolate Wafer" is exactly what I'm looking for (and what I remember as a child). The trouble will be finding it...a web search shows that it can be very hard to find. But now that I know what I'm looking for maybe I'll have more luck. If I end up ordering 6 boxes off Amazon then I guess I'll have to make that icebox cake I remember from my childhood icon_biggrin.gif Thanks again!

We have these at our local grocery store in the cookie aisle. I noticed they even have a chocolate mint wafer cookie!

In case someone in the future is searching for info on Nabisco's Famous Chocolate Wafers like I was, I just thought I'd post that I found them in my grocery store, but in the ice cream toppings section. I did buy 2 boxes so that I could make my grandma's yummy icebox cake icon_smile.gif
