Just removed my cake from the oven and realized I had forgotten the oil. What will the results be? Kicking myself in the butt! LOL Fortunately it is just for DH because he was jealous that he hasn't gotten to eat any of my cakes lately.

I just did the same thing. Did you put any sour cream or yogurt in? I used sour cream and was going to put in the oil also but my ADHD kicked in. My cake turned out fine.

"Never use oil"? I never heard of that, do you only use eggs and water, do you have to adjust the amount of eggs or water to make more liquid? Are the cakes still moist of do you do it this way because a more dense cake is easier to decorate? Very intrigued, I would love to skip the oil, if it is all the same...

Well for the record caincakemaker, the cake was dry. Okay for me and hubby to eat but glad it wasn't for a customer.
