Substitute Yogurt For The Sour Cream?

Anyone tried this. This morning I used FF vanilla yogurt instead of sour cream in my Almond Sour Cream cake and it taste delicious. Seems like the cake is lighter too - course I'm making cupcakes with it, so it's hard to tell. It passed the taste test here.

I haven't tried it, but it sounds yummy! And I know macsmom uses yogurt in a lot of her recipes............really I don't see a difference in using yogurt or sour cream.....they're basically the same thing.............

I also LOVE using yogurt instead of sour cream - there are so many flavor combinations you can try. I just tried macsmom's cinnamon roll cake with cinnamon roll yogurt and coffee creamer and it was SOOOO good! You can see all her endless and awesome recipes on the Help! Gourmet Flavors posting
