I was thinking of using RKT for the base of my doll cake. Since I've never used RKT for decorating purposes I have a couple of questions:

1. Do I make the recipe as usual

2. Do I need to crush the cereal at all to make a smoother surface

3. What do I use underneath to attach the fondant - do I use buttercream or can I use piping gel

Thanks!
Michelle

I've only used RKT once. I crushed it a little bit in the blender. I put two layers of fondant on, the first one I used to press into the gaps to make a smooth surface and it didn't need anything to stick onto the RKT. When I put the second layer on, I brushed the underside with a tiny bit of water to stick it on.
