I have a mom that asked me to make her daughter's b.day cake. She has had a ROUGH year. The little girl was born different and she hasent been dx till a few months ago. She has be dx w/ something only 50 other americans have. I forgot the name. Anywho, she is a tiny little girl and is deaf. They picked a ladybug theme. But I want something extra special w/ the theme. Any ideas?

There are some super cute bugs and little critters in the gallery if you check there. I'd do the ladybug and add some little critters and maybe even make it like a Ladybug Picnic. Do you know that song? I can't remember it all, but I do remember singing it and that I think would be super cute.
How nice of you to want to do this for this little girl!

Go with the theme the parents asked for-- there is definitely a reason why they chose it. My son had a lot of medical issues at birth and we had his first cake-- we chose something meaningful to his first part of his life. The parents do not want to draw any attention to the child's hardship or special needs. Make it really special! I like the ladybug picnic idea! Good luck! I would love to see what you end up doing for it!

A ladybug theme is great, I agree with adding other bugs- more like a garden theme.

There are really good ones if you search...

Here is what I did for my daughters first bday, that's a ladybug on top- it was the miniball pan- that was her cake to eat

Lady bugs are a sign of good luck.... I would use that theme also, but like everyone else just make it yours... add special touches. There are some cute ones on the site.. Just put in ladybugs in the search on here and alot of different cake designs should come up..
