I'm trying to attach fondant to a doll pick and I am not having any luck - what are the tricks of the trade to get it to attach to the slippery plastic?!?!?!?

Hello,
I make bride doll cakes. To get my fondant to stick to the doll pick, I paint a thin layer of piping gel where I want the fondant to stick. Let it dry. It can be moved around on the doll pick while wet to get it to adjust to the place where you want. hth

i just used a bit of water for mine but i was just thinking then what about a couple of little smears of corn syrup, that will defiantly stick it lol or like i heard about working with dummy cakes you can put a mixture of water and corn syrup to lightly brush on to stick the fondant...
