I am making a racing helmet cake and need to know how to make gold icing for the pinstripe details. Can anyone lead me in the right directions on what colors to mix or how to make gold icing? Thanks

For gold I use Wiltons Buttercup Yellow and then paint it with gold luster dust.
Americolor also makes a Gold coloring but I prefer the Wilton color.
If you don't have those colors try mixing yellow with a tiny bit of brown and green, but just a dab. To make it shine like gold though you will have to use a luster dust, so I suggest using royal icing or fondant to make the pinstriping.
