I cant ice a cake if my life depended on me. I have tried approx. 30 cakes and can't seem to frost a cake decently. I love to decorate cakes but i cant seem to ice them at all. Does anyone know where or who i should go to for help? I don't have a large budget for this any info would be greatly appreciated.

I like to use the icing tip by Wilton and a 21 inch pastry bag. Then smooth it all with a spatula, then after about 20 minute go over it with a Viva paper towel.

I would recommend you get Sugarshacks buttercream dvd. I love it and it is VERY reasonably priced. You will save the cost in frustratingly wasted buttercream if you say you have tried on 30 cakes.
