European Vs. American Cake Drums

Could someone out there please tell me what the difference is between a European Cake drum and an American cake drum.

As far as I can tell, the cake drums on American cake webshops look similar to my British drums. Is there supposed to be a difference?

On the Sugarshack DVD's, she suggests using European drums instead of American, but I have no idea what the difference is.

I never knew there was a difference. Perhaps it was a nice way of saying, "Don't use those Wilton drums because they're unreliable."
