I just made pancanewjerseys Sinful SMBC recipe and it awfuly soupy! What did I do wrong and can I fix it?!

Have you made SMBC before? It usually looks kinda curdled at first, and then you keep on whipping it and it turns to a silky smooth frosting.
I believe there is a tutorial on here somewhere where justscratch did a step by step tutorial of her making it.
The recipe I use is also "soupy" after mixing but I refrigerate it until stiff, sometimes almost an hour, then mix again. If you're using a KA, use the paddle not whip attachment. I'm new to cake decorating but have done this many times.
