I've been asked to make a graduation cake with a soccer ball on top. I have a wilton ball pan. I think newer pans come with the hexagram indents on the pan or at least instructions. Does anyone have an idea or a clever way to help me figure out this design?
Thanks.

Do you have a projector? I have used a soccer image to project it on a white iced cake (so that I can see it better). HTH

I'm going to use my ball pan and put a 3-D ball on top of a two layer sheet cake, but I'm not sure I can freehand the tyipical black and white soccer ball design. Chef Stef has a great cake with a soccer ball on it. She said she used a template that came with her ball pan to cut out the fondant hexagram shapes. I guess what I was hopeing for were the deminsions of the hexagram. Maybe I will pm chef stef. Thanks for the reply cakeandpartygirl (you sound like my kind of girl)
