Does anyone know which colours to mix to get periwinkle? I have only found powder in that colour not paste and I need to colour fondant. If you know where I could get it that would be great too! Thanks any help would be appreciated.
If it is a *food safe/ edible powder* then by all means - use it.
I use powders 9 out of 10 times to colour my fondant/regalice.
I just roll out and then just sprinkle along the fondant/regalice - rub gently with my finger tips - roll up and then start mixing with my hands - then roll with my rolling pin.
When i have the colour i require - i then roll up - wrap in about 3 layers of cling wrap and leave overnight (on the bench) for all the little powder beads to explode and then re roll the next day -
Voula - you have the colour you want.
I find powders give a more *intense* colour that doesn't fade or dim compared to liquid or gel colours.
But if you have to use a liquid or gel - then i am sorry - i don't know the answer...
