Just put two batches of home made red velvet cake batter in an 11x15 sheet pan. It ran over and smoked up the entire house. When I tried to clean out the bottom of the oven and keep it baking, it fell. Four cups of sugar, six eggs, etc. gone! Thank goodness it is cool tonight. I have the oven cleaning and all the windows open. I still have three cakes and a hundred mini cupcakes to do! icon_cry.gif

I can't tell you how often that has happened to me (especially with red velvet) It's a terrible experience. I hope the next batch does better. thumbs_up.gif

The house still smells like smoke this morning. icon_rolleyes.gif

I was going to tort the cake anyway, so now, (after heading back to the grocery store), I will just do one layer at a time. Thanks for the message, it made me feel much better. thumbs_up.gif
