Does anyone know where I can find a how-to for the RI butterflies that can stand on a cake? What do I use to give the wings the shape?

Thanks muchly!

I remember reading on here about piping the wings seperately on wax paper - letting them dry, then using the wilton flower former - pipe a butterfly body in the center of the former and then set the wings into the freshly piped butterfly body, the angle of the flower former will "hold" the wings in position till they dry - that way they have a 3-D effect.

Not sure if that is what you were looking for or not. (you might want to check out how to make the gelatin butterflies and flowers in the HOW DO I section by justdi)Those are 3-D and look real!
