Hello all,
I am making a cake for my daughter's 3rd birthday and one of the pictures I saw on here used modeling chocolate. Can someone direct me with an easy, sure-fire recipe??? Can someone tell me how difficult it is to work with?? I have used fondant before, but no one in my family likes the taste or texture. I was hoping the modeling chocolate would taste good and might be easy for a first time person to use. I basically just want to make a rope out of it and some dots for the top layer of the cake. Thanks for all replies!

This is the recipe I use: http://cakecentral.com/cake_recipe-1608-0-Chocolate-Clay-Modeling-Chocolate.html

I think it's similar to working with fondant, but you can't work with it as long. If you handle it too much the chocolate will soften too much. It is very tasty though.
