I have a bride requesting a cupcake tower with 200 servings.

Question #1: Can I buy a stand that big?

Question #2: a) If not, how do you make a cupcake stand sturdy enough for all of that? b) How many tiers should it be?

Question #3: Do you know about how much it will cost?

Thanks in advance!!

if you do a search here for cupcake tower, there is a thread that shows a wonderful tower and how to make it. I had my husband make it and I LOVE it. We made it out of MDF. It is four tiers.... the bottom one being 36 x 36, the next one 24 x 24 and so on!! I used it for an anniversary party and it held 150 easily.. with more that could have been added.....

It was easy to make and I spray painted it an off white so it would go with about any color. Then I use colored ribbon to match the event or wrap it in fabric.. whatever I want to do.

I will go see if I can find some info on here for you!!

Global Sugar Art carries cupcake towers for the size you need. The price range is $200 to $300 or so I believe - depends on the size, etc. As for making a tower that size, IDK. Might be kind of challenging getting everything to balance properly. HTH and good luck!

The one we made cost us about $40 !!! It is wonderful!!!

I am still looking for the thread and I am trying to attach a picture but it isn't working... I am computer challenged though!!

Go to the gallery and do a search for cupcake tower. There is one or two on the first page. They are large white boxes that stack on top of each other. It is extremely sturdy !! Actually the bottom layer is pretty darn heavy!!!

I think it is a good option for the amount that you need.
