I've decided it's time to invest in a 'real' mixer (not a hand held one!)
Most of the people I know rave about their kenwood but on here (cc) everyone raves about their kitchen aid!
Is this because you don't really get the kenwood in the US or is the kitchen aid just a better machine?

any advice will be very much appreciated!

I have never used a Kenwood, but I do love my KA mixer.

I think what I love the most about it are the attachments you can get for it that make it more than just a mixer. Pasta maker, Ice cream maker, sausage stuffer and to many to list all of them.

It was the best investment I have made so far regarding any type of appliance.

I just upgraded to a larger model myself and all of the attachments I have for it are interchangeable, so no worrying about buying all new stuff.

I dont think I could live without my KA and I imagine what ever it is you decide to get for yourself you will probably wonder how you ever managed with out it
