Hi everyone, Im in desperate search for this classic flour cake Mix Brand: PRESTO. The box is blue, my grandmother used to make cakes with in, and its really good cake four. Old fashioned. Can anyone help me?
Caketalk - where are you located? I know I've seen it in supermarkets here in NJ.
Found it!! THank you very much! I live in Washington State and found out Presto is a East coast "Brand" they dont have a distributor this far. I think this is the best cake flour. Thanks again!
You can buy it online. It has become very difficult to find anywhere and it's very expensive where you can find it. I've seen it at $5/box in my area.
That being said, most bakers have switched to regular self-rising flour, no need to adjust your recipes. I grew up with Presto but will not spend the extra money when I can bake a nice cake with a less expensive and available brand. Try it and let me know what you think of the results.
