hi everybody, well i made my mothers day cake, i'm not happy with it i forgot and put frosting on it, instead of a crumb coat. that's why is it lumpy, oh well maybe better next time hmmm i don't think it uploaded

Why don't you just upload it to the Photo Gallery instead of making a thread about it?
Next time, put your cake in the fridge or freezer for about 15 minutes before applying your fondant so that the buttercream has had a chance to chill and set up. That way, you can work your fondant smooth without having the buttercream squish around under your fondant.
We learn by experience, so don't feel bad!
oh ok, thanks for the info, i did put alot of frosting on it, but when we cut it you really couldn't see alot, but the fondant was soft, i wondered if it absorbed it. but it was lumpy,
