I am making an spice cake with cream cheese frosting and I wanted to use my new diamond mat on the sides. This is my first time playing with it. The frosting is stiff enought to do the viva smoothing method on it, but when I try to use the diamond mat, it sticks to the sides. Am I suppose to dust it with something, or spray it with something or guess plan wait?

Oh sorry, the answer is just wait longer. I let the cake sit in the open air for about 20 mins before I tried to use it again. Worked like a charm!
I lightly dust the mat with PS and then wipe it off after each time I press into the cake, that helps too!
