I would like to try a new recipe that holds up well to sculpting and fondant, but still tastes yummy. I have been using Colette Peters white cake recipe, but would like to try something different. Any suggestions?
Have you tried the WASC? It is a very versitle recipe like that. I don't know if you were looking for strictly scratch recipes or not, so you may not be interested at all. I love it though.
I LOVE the durable duncan hines recipe that I found here on CC.

With that, I use the fantastic flavor combinations from the Gourmet flavors thread google page. It has broader my horizons

My favorite is orange creamsicle cake with white truffle filling and vanilla bc. There are tons of great ideas from that thread! Good luck!
It took me forever to figure out how to find the responses to my post (I'm slow I guess). Thank you for the fabulous suggestions and I can't wait to try them out.
