I tried to make a Topsy Turvy cake. And the best I can tell, my cake is too soft to stack 3 tiers high. Anyway, the end that was supposed to be high sank until I had a flat top. IT"S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE FLAT! If this makes any sence to anyone please advise... Thanks.
Did you have enough support inside of each tier to keep it from collapsing?
My topsy DID turvy....right off onto the table!...into two pieces

My topsy did turvy too! I made one on Thursday... ooh it was such a disaster! I can laugh now.. but between my fondants temper tantrum on today's cake and Thursday's 'turvy'.. I was about to sell every last item of cake crap I have! lol
how did you do it? did you use any supports!
alexandrabill, I've so been there! Last Sunday as a matter of fact. It was ugly - me and the cake!! It was a topsy turvy too but the fondant was my problem, not the topsy turvy. That was my second topsy turvy and mine aren't dramatic enough. I guess I need to push the envelope and go more drastic. On mine, you can't really tell if I was trying to make it look that way or it was an accident. I guess it'll just take practice.
