I'm planning my own birthday cake. *lol* It is going to be a hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy cake... in honor of turning 42. I've even talked hubby into a cookout/ party!

I want the most {hoopy frood} cake ever. *lol* I have planned several parts, to include a towel or two, but can't figure out how to get a nice terrycloth appearance. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

How big do you want these? Do you have a pasta roller?
You could put a thin towel on top of a thin piece of fondant and put it thru the pasta machine. OR just roll over it w/ a rolling pin....not exactly sure how it will turn out but worth a try. Other than that maybe cover a piece of fondant w/coconut? Or pipe icing on it w/a 233 (grass tip).
Just some random thoughts.... don't really know which would work/turn out the best.
