Can I use a vanilla cake and convert part of it into carrot? icon_confused.gif

id guess not without some serious thinking, i dont think you can just add a carrot, youd want to add brown sugar and spices too.

SURE YOU CAN!!

My favorite carrot cake recipe starts with a french vanilla BC box mix. I get rave reviews every time.

edited to add : I think that if you add your own spices rather than using a spice mix or carrot cake mix, it tastes fresher and cleaner. The spices are kinda muddled and the flavor isnt as as good.

My favorite carrot cake recipe uses a boxed yellow cake mix to start, and it is AWESOME! I got the recipe on this website, as well.
