How Much Would You Charge?

I had a price request for 300 gourmet cookies. 50 bags of 6 tied with a bow. I have no idea how much to charge. I looked up other websites and local bakeries and the average is about 1.25 a cookie, but that would be over $300. Is that right? Thanks for your help.

If these cookies are hand decorated ones, then $1.25 is more than fair. Depending on the detail, that may not be enough. 300 cookies sounds like fun, though. Be sure to post pics when you're done.

You will find that the going rate as quoted by CC cookie decorators is $1 per inch for decorated sugar cookies. If it's a 3" cookie, it's $3. On top of the cookie price, you have to add an additional cost for packaging materials. If $1 an inch seems too high for your area, you can adjust it. The important thing to keep in mind is that you're talking about "gourmet" cookies. I think all decorated sugar cookies tend to be a "high end" product. Don't undersell yourself!
