How long does royal icing last on the shelf. Antonia's to be specific.

Thanks!

Using powdered egg whites/meringue powder, you are good for up to a week. Just rebeat it before use as it will start to separate icon_smile.gif.

There's nothing in it that will go bad. I've had a WELL-SEALED bowl of it on the counter for several weeks. Yeah you do have to rewhip it, but I've never had to throw it out. I used to dump all the excess after each project, then I thought I'd just save it to see what happens, now I have all these little plastic bowls with the various colors, one big one of black and one big of white. I put them in a big ziploc and leave on the counter until needed.

Angie, try some and if you die or are hospitalized, don't use it. icon_lol.gif (I had a sleepless night and I'm a bit annoying, sorry icon_lol.gif )

I've used mine at three weeks and it was fine after re-beating it.
