I just made a batch of Sugarshack's icing, and it is the greatest icing in the world! I iced my cake smoothly in just a few minutes with this icing and the Melvira method. No stress at all. It was like a miracle! Anyway, I have tons of this icing left over and I'd like to know if I can freeze it. Also, I made this batch on Saturday, so how long can it sit on the counter before I need to do something with it? Thanks!
Yep you can freeze it.. and it thaws perfectly on defrost cycle on microwave (small amounts) great for when you have a sweet tooth and cake scraps.. hehehe.. just set out on the counter to defrost when you need it.... It is good icing.. love it
Depending on how much I have, I put it in ziploc freezer and squeeze all of the air out. It thaws out on the counter in no time and stores flat in the freezer.
