Stargazer Lily: Homemade Mold & No Cutter

I made a mold using silicon mold compound and a silk flower stargazer lily petal. [ silk petal was firm enough to get a very good impression ] Rolled the gumpaste pretty thin, pressed into the mold with my fingers and then cut it out with scissors. Used the ball roller to thin/ruffle the edges and let it dry overnight and used my airbrush to color the petals. This was a quick and easy to make this flower and I'm sure I will be looking for other suitable silk plants for more molds to make! I got the mold compound from http://www.culinart.net/silicone.html

Your flower came out great! Thanks for sharing. I've still got to get around to making a mold one of these days when I have more time to play.
