I put fondant letters on the side of a fondant covered cake and they slid overnight. I pushed them back up but, since the letters are red and I stuck them on with corn syrup, they've left a shiny spot where they slid. A reddish shiny spot. Is there any way I can make that disappear? Cake delivery is in 2 hours!!! icon_surprised.gif

Try rubbing it with some alcohol, like vodka (colorless and tasteless).

I haven't actually done it, but was told by somebody that this works well.

Lifesaver!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't have vodka but used grappa instead! I'll wait until I get to the party before sticking it back on...
