HI. I was wondering can you bake, fill (with SMBC), annd crumb coat on one day, freeze it then frost (SMBC) and decorate the next day?Do you even need to crumbcoat when using SMBC?
I was wondering if you crumbcoat and wrap in plastic, how does the crumb coat stay on the cake When thawing do you keep it in the plastic wrap?

I don't think freezing the full cake sounds like a good idea. You could put it in the fridge and the SMBC will harden up.

I'm not sure if people do crumbcoats with SMBC. I have often wondered that myself.

If you want to wrap it in plastic, you would have to wait for it to harden in the fridge and then put the plastic on. Then you would want to take the plastic off while it thaws. If you take it off after it thaws, it's going to ruin the smoothness you worked for.

Good luck!
