Hey guys,

I made a sheet cake and I did not let it cool enough and it split down the middle. Would you remake it ot just cover it really well with your icing (buttercream)? This is a cake for Saturday by the way.

thanks

Benisha

Benisha, If you aren't doing anything other than just icing the cake as a sheet cake, I would use it, especially if it is just a clean break..

It is a clean break. It did not split in half. I just need to ice it and add some basic decorations which I think will hide the split. I asked my mom who does not bake and she is so funny, she said, "well, if it was me, I would ice it thick, it is going to be torn up worse than that when they start to eat it" icon_biggrin.gif
