Does royal icing stick to syrofoam? I was hoping to make a topper then cover it with RI but I'm not too sure it will stick to it?
Any thoughts?

TIA

Cover the styrofoam with plastic wrap first. icon_smile.gif

sorry if this is a stupid question.. why?

My plan was to get a round strofoam piece cover it with RI then cover it with colored sugar crystals & let dry for I can put it dirctly on the cake.

will the plastice wrap prevent it from peeling off?

TIA

Oh duh, I misunderstood. I thought you wanted to pipe RI on the styrofoam and then remove it, like for a RI cage. Never mind! Pipe on styrofoam ~ it will adhere just fine. icon_smile.gif
