Hi CC!!!
I just got my first order for a Mothers Day cake! YIPPEE for repeat customers. So, it needs to feed 15 and her favorite color is navy blue. Sounds simple, however the navy blue part is bugging me icon_confused.gif Ive looked through Google images, Ive went through the galleries here. How do can I incorporate it into a feminine Mothers Day cake?
I will be using all MMF; however my skills are not the most intricate. I hope you can help me with a simple design Id love to do ribbon roses and maybe a looped bow hey; I have a diamond impression mat Any ideas or thoughts?!?

Navy blue makes me think of denim. There are some great denim cakes in the galleries with daisies.

SO thats the idea!!! I wonder if I need to make the daisies a week in advance and let them dry.

It won't hurt to make them ahead. I often make flowers a week or more ahead. What's the humidity like in TX? In my experience, MMF pieces take a long time to dry in high humidity.
