Has anyone ever made a topsy turvy cake and decorated it with buttercream?

Maybe "seriouscakes" could make us a tutorial?!!!!

I have made 2 of them in the past couple of weeks, all buttercream. I use the BKeith method on here to do it. I have tried to upload the pics, but it says they are too small?? (they really turn out adorable!)

OK - edited to add I did get a pic loaded, just not the one of it with the toppers on it!

I added a fondant topper to this after delivery - that is the pic that would not load. It was a bright orange "16" and some fondant curly Q's.

I have 2 in my photos that are buttercream. I did the cut-out method. It was difficult, but fun. I like the 2-tier better than the 3 tier, but the 3 tier was first, so it was a definite learning experience!
