Hi all, sure this has been covered elsewhere on the forum, but i've looked for ages and can't find a definitive answer.

Making a pound cake which is going to be covered in fondant, but need to fill the layers and frost the outside before putting the fondant on. Wondered how long the cake will last out of the fridge if i use a buttercream filling? Any other suggestions??

Thanks so much in advance.

If you post the recipe many would be able to help you a bit more icon_smile.gif

If you're using an American Buttercream.. most can stay out atleast 3 days. I don't know about SMBC/IMBC though.

woops! Sorry! It's a basic lemon curd butter cream- butter, icing sugar, lemon curd, lemon zest and water if necessary
