I used to have no problem making my roses. But the past year or so, I keep getting ragged edges. I have heard that it may be due to the "new Crisco". Does anyone have any solutions? Thank you so much for your help!
i use the new crisco and haven't had any problems. maybe you should try adding a little liquid to your icing...it sounds like it may be too thick.
Try some piping gel in it. That will smooth those petals out. You may also need to open the narrow end of your tip up a bit.
I agree with Diane, I would just add more liquid to your icing.
