We are from scratch bakers ourselves...French vanilla cake is one of our best sellers and it is a yellow cake based recipe. We searched and searched for a good yellow cake recipe and the one we use is always consistent and I would never use another one again.

We use Toba Garrett's moist yellow cake recipe from her Well Decorated Cakes book. As far as a white cake, we use an adapted version of The Cake Bible's White Velvet Cake. We belong to Baking911 and Sarah has some great recipes for white cake and variations on flavors.

We have a lemon cake and orange cake that we use the white velvet cake as a base, just add some lemon or orange zest and juice.
