Hi everyone, I am painting a rug on a sheet of gum paste that is mostly dry. I am using the powdered food coloring and vodka. I guess my question is conserning the thicknes I need for my "paint" I started out with what I thought would be good and it dried then looked like I had crakle painted it. The coloring seemed to dry in a crust. So I put my foam tipped brush into the vodka and went over it again to thin it out and now it is nearly transparrent. This is the border of the rug so the look is not going to be a problem but when I do the details on the inner part of the rug I need to know how thick I should be making my paint. I will be painting flowers, scrolls and leaves for this portion of the piece. Please help icon_smile.gif
