Of all weekends to go from spring to instant mid-summer heat! I'm working on my first 3 tier cake covered in fondant. And it's 87 degrees out and god only knows how hot in my kitchen! This is making this task hellish My one buttercream is too soft even with refrigeration but I think I got it to work, but my fondant work on that tier needs some decorations to hide the flaws And since I don't have a cool place to leave the covered cake, it has to stay in the fridge - I hope it doesn't dry out the fondant and cause cracking on me.
What to do????? I'm done for the night, dishes are clean and it's time to go find some real food since I've done nothing but look at sugar all day.
Thanks for listening CCers
PS: If it comes out presentable I'll post a pic tomorrow night
