I saw a cake that was iced white with what looked like fairy dust all over the top and sides. What is that????? I'm sure it's sugar of some sort, but don't know what it's called. Thanks!!!!

It's probably luster/pearl dust, I think. Someone correct me. I hope I'm right. lol

Could be "Disco Dust"...... I LOVE that stuff !

I can't say for sure but perhaps it's the edible sugar sprinkle from Wilton? It's clear but makes a cake look all sparkly....I use it all the time

Disco Dust...What it that and where can I find some? Do you mix it in with the icing or sprinkle it on? Does it come in different colors?

Oh, Brownie, I"m sorry.......I got busy and didn't get back to the board... I usually get mine at Global Sugar Art..... if they don't have the particular color I'm looking for, I just get the RAINBOW.... it is SOOO shiny..... you just sprinkle it on..... when I put it on scrolls ( which I will be doing for a wedding coming up ) I use a small paint brush, and just go over the scrolls.....
