I feel stupid asking this.... but is it okay to use a chocolate ganache to frost and fill a cake that will be covered in chocolate fondant? I've never used ganache before.. will it droop out or get the fondant soggy?

it will be fine. Just make sure it's chilled before placing the fondant for easier handling.
